I. How to Load the Ribbon into the Manual Coding Machine: 1. Loosen the nut on the ribbon feed spool (you don’t need to remove it completely). 2. Remove the movable acrylic baffle. 3. Insert the thermal print ribbon. 4. Reinstall the movable baffle, ensuring that it fits snugly against the side of the thermal print ribbon. Wind the ribbon in the direction shown in the diagram. 5. Loosen the ribbon-replacement nut on the ribbon roll spool. 6. Remove the movable baffle and insert the hollow paper core (using the remaining paper core from the thermal print ribbon). 7. Attach a small piece of ribbon end to the hollow paper core using adhesive tape, making sure the orientation matches the direction shown in the diagram. 8. Reinstall the movable baffle and tighten the ribbon-replacement nut. Note: The inked side of the ribbon (the rough side) should face the material being printed.

II. Installation Method for the Electric Coding Machine: Loosen the replacement nut on the ribbon feed roller (no need to remove it completely). Take out the movable acrylic baffle, insert the thermal print ribbon, and then put the movable baffle back in place. The baffle should fit snugly against the side of the thermal print ribbon. Wind the ribbon according to the direction shown in the diagram. Loosen the replacement ribbon nut on the ribbon-reel roller, remove the movable baffle, and install an empty paper core tube (the one left over after the thermal print ribbon has been used up). Attach a small piece of ribbon end to the empty paper core tube using adhesive tape, making sure that the orientation matches the direction shown in the diagram. Put the movable baffle back in place and tighten the replacement ribbon nut. Note: The inked side of the ribbon (the rough side) should face the material being printed.
